THANK YOU VETERANS!

Our school has a tradition of honoring veterans.  Yesterday, we had over 20 veterans and their guests join us for breakfast at school.  The students then presented a short program which included patriotic songs and poems and prayers for the veterans.  Each veteran was given personal recognition and a small gift.  When you compare what we do for them and what they did for us, there is no comparison at all.  It is a privilege to have these men and women as our guests and be able to show our students (including my own kids) the importance of saying thank you.  Some of the veterans at our school program have told us that they have never been thanked, never been honored before now.  I teach at a Christian school.  We can pray and pledge allegiance to the Bible because of all of those who serve for and protect our country.  So I am thankful, for all of the veterans, for those currently serving, for those who gave their lives, for those who stood by their loved ones while they were away.  Thank you!
